Mary Bowsted, CONVERTING TEACHERS INTo COMMUNICATORS

This joint project with the New Education Union was designed by me to recruit teachers to convert unregistered students into registered voters. While the video was ‘non-political’, it is an effective strategy for progressives to encourage democratic engagement, as well as a good in its own right.

The trade union campaigning, in this way, was likely to bolster those politicians who act in the interests of a larger proportion of eligible voters.

I had a single day to shoot and cut this film.
